ABBEY ARTS is dedicated to building community through arts and culture.
We create opportunities and places to bring artists and audiences together. We create environments for artists and performers to grow and develop their craft. We help others to do good by providing affordable and accessible event, workshop and performance spaces for Seattle non-profit, arts, and community groups.
Attendance at our various programs and events typically averages over 31,000 a year!
WE NEED YOUR HELP. We are currently seeking energetic new people to join our board of directors to help guide the continuation and expansion of this important work. We aim to help Seattle be a more creative place and would love for you to join us.
If you are interested, please email our Board Chair & Executive Director via this email: board(at)fremontabbey.org

Our non-voting ADVISORY BOARD meets once or twice a year for 2 hours usually on a weeknight.
We ask that all Advisory Board members invite at least 2 people to our annual fundraiser and attend if at all possible.
A timely response to at least one email (approximately every other month) may be expected.
Term is approximately 2 years, often members stay on the Advisory board longer or move to voting Board.
A personally significant financial contribution is greatly appreciated when joining the Advisory Board and each year after that.
If interested, please advise your Abbey board contact that you’d like to be considered for the Board. A 2nd board member will then typically meet with you and take the application to the next step.
