Sustainability

Sustainability is achieved in part through being community driven and volunteer powered with a small staff.  We also partner with existing non-profits & neighborhood teachers to help them provide some of the educational arts experiences at the Abbey, including the Fremont Music School, Karin Stevens Dance Company, Tuning the Air, Fremont Swing Dance, The Round, & many others.  This enables us to keep our staffing small & focus on developing niche programs and pulling in more community organizations to use the building. We also allow the space to be used for artistic community celebrations and events which help fund our staffing, supplies, rent and building costs.  We work hard to set a good example for sustainability on the Environmental side as well by using natural handmade cleaning supplies, efficient heaters, insulation, composting, recycling, reduced waste, and more. MEMBERSHIP We have created strong relationships with so many great neighbors, organizations and enthusiasts of the arts! 

We hope that you consider becoming a member to strengthen the sense of community here at the Fremont Abbey in addition to helping us accomplish our mission to provide a space for all ages incomes and skill levels to grow through community arts education & performance.
