    The 2017 cohort of Abbey Arts’ Next Stage Program – was a stout mix of talent. This group of amazing up-and-coming young artists covered the gamut; from spoken word and fine art, to rock and experimental music, to eye-popping digital media and photography.

    Qin Tan –
    Qin Tan was born in Beijing, China and currently lives in Tacoma, Washington. She received her Bachelors of Fine Art from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), where she majored in General Fine Arts. She practices art through various mediums to include painting, photography and electronic media. Tan’s work has been exhibited and screened internationally at the Delaware Contemporary, Studio Art Center International, Pantocrator Gallery, VisArts and Siva Galerija among others.

    Tom McGahern is a musician from Seattle, WA. His focus is recording music and performing live with his current group MIKEY. In the past he has toured the west coast and performed as part of MoPoPs SoundOff! competition.

    Abe Poultridge –

    Abigail Hagan –
    “Abigail Hagan is a videographer, editor, documentary filmmaker, and photographer located in Seattle, Washington. She graduated from the Honors College at the University of Houston where she majored in Media Production with a Minor in History. Her films and photographs focus on social justice, dance, food accessibility, travel, homelessness, immigration, and poverty. She is currently employed as a story editor and associate producer at What’s Next Media, Inc. in Seattle.”

    Natalie Reitz –
    Natalie is a recent alumna of Fremont Abbey’s NEXT STAGE program. Natalie’s work has been shown in New York, Seattle, Detroit, and Richmond, IN, notably at the Richmond Art Museum. Natalie has worked as a freelance photographer since 2014 and is always looking for opportunities to do the work she loves.

    Anna Freedman –
    Anna Freedman is a Seattle-based singer-songwriter and pianist. She released her debut record Big Plans in 2017. Anna studied piano at the University of Washington and maintains a full studio of piano and voice students at Creative Music Adventures in Wallingford.
