“Come support the Refugee Women’s Alliance as we gather at the Fremont Abbey for Rock for Refuge, a musical celebration of hope, safety, and strength within our refugee community. Hear the compelling lyrics of Brenda Xu, the rhythm of Naomi Wachira, and the energy of Carrie Akre during this special evening of music. With guest performers The Bonafides and spoken word artist Prometheus Brown, this benefit concert is open to any supporter of music and our refugee community. We will be raffling off a handmade 1932 Gibson L-50 Archtop guitar, a Ballard business basket (with $1,000 in gift prizes from restaurants, stores, bars, and the new Nordic Heritage Museum), and tickets to the Capitol Hill Block Party and Timberfest!
Join us for this special evening celebrating music and life. Together, we make this region a welcoming home for all.” presented by ReWA
