8/22 Six Organs of Admittance (Ben Chasny’s first acoustic solo show since 2005!)

Influenced by the Fahey school of guitar picking, his [Chasny] musical style varies from everything from “new folk” to “psychedelic drone” and everything in between, often incorporating chimes and eclectic percussion. His latest album is quite loud and was informed by a compositional system he created to spur creativity, which was informed heavily by Gaston Bachelard and Jeu de Marseille. While very different, the most well-known parallel system is probably Brian Eno’s Oblique Strategies.
This performance is a unique solo acoustic show.
