SAMBA

Experience the joy of Brazilian carnival while learning samba, samba-reggae, maracatu, and other dances to the driving rhythms of live Brazilian drumming! The class starts with a gentle warm-up based on the Feldenkrais Method® that eases you into the full-body movements of the dance. This class is great if you’re new to Afro-Brazilian dance, or if you want to hone the basics. It’s a great workout as well! GUTs modern dance

Intro/slow Beginning – 16 yrs & up  | Always wanted to dance? Has it been too long and you’re looking to get back into dance? Then GUTs Beg/Intermediate modern dance class is for you!  GUTs is:

s :: sweat :: work hard, have fun

This is an slow beg/int class with adult students of diverse backgrounds in mind. My intention is for all to find new, enjoyable healthful ways of moving through modern dance that integrates brain, body and emotions. Curious but unsure if its for you? KIDS

Kids Modern Dance I – Beginning – 5 to 6yrs – Mondays 4p-4:55p
Want to move? Like to dance? Join us in discovering the joy of movement, music, and creativity through all of our senses in Beginning Modern dance. We’ll engage our brains, coordinate our bodies, stretch and strengthen our muscles all while exploring dance! Handstands included. Instructor: Vic{tori}a McConnell – tori@theindelible.org

We believe everyone is creative and that people of all ages and all incomes should have access to community-centered arts experiences. Which means both learning in classes and learning through performing and attending performances are vital.

Here at the Fremont Abbey, local skilled teaching artists share their passion and impart knowledge to all ages and incomes in ways that are interactive, inspiring and giving back to the community.
