    12/3: Polecat

    12/3 Polecat

    POLECAT

“Richard Reeves – double bass, Karl Olson – drums, Cayley Schmid – fiddle, Aaron Guest vocals and 12-string guitar, Jeremy Elliott electric lead guitar and vocals. Formed in Bellingham, Washington in Spring 2010, Polecat has traveled all over Northwest U.S., performing over 400 shows in four years. Their unique instrumentation enables them to seamlessly blend genres including bluegrass, country, celtic, rock, reggae, and world music into their sound. The general appeal of Polecat comes from their unique take on roots music and their interactive and high energy live shows.”

JACOB JOLLIFF / WES CORBET (Joy Kills Sorrow)

    12/3 - Jolliff/Corbett

“Banjo player, Wes Corbett and mandolinist, Jacob Jolliff have been playing music together for over ten years.  Both growing up in the northwest, they would get together to hang out and play shows every chance they had.  A few years later, they both landed in Boston, where they joined the new acoustic group, Joy Kills Sorrow.  With this band they toured internationally for five years, as well as played on many national radio and television programs.  Shortly following JKS going on hiatus in April 2014, Jacob started touring with the progressive bluegrass band, Yonder Mountain String Band.  Lately Wes has been teaching at the prestigious Berklee College of Music as well as working on his own projects.  The duo’s show consists of highly-interactive instrumental music, built on the chemistry that comes from from sharing the stage for so long, as well as tight vocal duets.”
